The Aeynolds Ar series have tougher spokes and brass nipples while the ARX gets upgraded bladed spokes and alloy nipples which shed 100 grams. 

If you are a heavier rider (200+ pounds) we recommend you choose the Ar series over the lighter ARX sets.
